How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Kickstarter - L'Ecorché: Classical Anatomy app for Artists

Yesssssss! Artistic cozins, have you heard about this thing? Have you seen this thing? Don't you WANT this thing?

I am so psyched about this project, and I can't wait to get my hands on the app. I'll always love my anatomy books and even my sad, half-baked ecorche, but this thing is in 3D. I will literally be able to turn the figure any way I want, get any angle, without having three different books falling off my lap just to reference the tricep or sumthn at that one angle. You know how it goes. >_<

This project is now up on Kickstarter. Please consider donating, if you want the future on your computer. Oh did I mention these fools are gonna charge around $10 for the finished app?? It's the most useful thing I foresee happening in 2012. Just look at the video on the Kickstarter page, and look at all this cutting edge technology and mad skillz being utilized to make our lives easier.

The future has (almost) arrived!

I don't known anything about app making, but this actually seems cheap considering time and sheer manhours involved.
In the end if it gets us an awesome and useful product, all those dudes should get paid, amirite!

The one thing I'm worried about is their promise to give contributors a free copy of the app. Last time I checked, there's a limit of 50 freebie tickets per application shipped, and a limit of 100 devices that can be added to an ordinary provisioning profile. If they have more than 150 donors, the only way they'll be able to give them a copy free is to either break the terms of the Apple store distribution contract, or make the entire app free.
